Functional separation and internal order contribute to safety, readability and ease of access. Testing then checks the build against the documentation and confirms that the connections work as they should.

Panels can be built for new installations, extensions, or retrofit work where existing systems need replacing or updating.

A machine control panel is built to sit with one particular machine or automatic line. It has to suit the space available, the mechanical layout, the loads and the connections out to sensors, actuators, motors and safety devices.

We look at what the application involves and organise the build so that installation is as simple as possible. Connections prepared in advance, correct identification and agreement with the schematics all cut down the work left to do at final assembly.

Whether the UL mark is needed, and which requirements apply, has to be established at the outset, so that components, materials and construction methods can be chosen correctly. The destination market, your own specifications and the applicable standards are therefore essential information at the quotation stage.

Panel design is carried out with professional tools, EPLAN Pro Panel among them. The software handles schematics, layouts, components and documentation through a single coordinated process.

Starting from the characteristics of the machine, we identify the devices needed, the space they take up, the internal arrangement and the logic of the connections. The design also takes account of access to components and of any maintenance or extension work to come.

Keeping the schematic and the layout coordinated reduces the gap between what was designed and what actually gets built. Parts lists and documentation then serve as a reference for manufacturing, for testing and for managing spares in future.

Assembly, wiring and testing

Once the design is settled, work moves on to assembling the enclosure, installing the components and wiring the panel. Each stage follows the standards agreed with you, with close attention to internal order.

Testing covers documentation checks, verification of connections and functional tests appropriate to the level of completion of the job. Where applicable, signals, inputs and outputs, power supplies and communications can all be checked.

Delivery comes with the technical documentation agreed beforehand, digitally and, where required, on paper.
